The Greenhouse support

2026 Dutch Ambassador Visits DeCi AgriTech

Highlighting AI-Driven Sino-Dutch Greenhouse Innovation

During the opening of the 2026 Beijing International Flower Expo, representatives from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in China, including Ambassador André Haspels and Agricultural Counsellor Erik Smidt, met with the team of DeCi AgriTech B.V. to learn about the company’s journey and its role in advancing Sino-Dutch cooperation in greenhouse horticulture. Founded by a cross-disciplinary team with deep roots in Wageningen University & Research, DeCi AgriTech develops AI-driven growing systems tailored to local production realities. Leveraging decades of Dutch greenhouse horticulture expertise and data, the company translates advanced knowledge into scalable, locally adapted solutions for the Chinese market.

The Ambassador and Agricultural Counsellor expressed strong appreciation for DeCi’s work and highlighted its potential to further strengthen bilateral collaboration by bringing innovation into real-world agricultural production.

Following the exhibition, a Dutch delegation comprising the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, Greenhouse Delta, Municipality of Westland, and the Netherlands Innovation Network China, along with leading greenhouse companies, visited the DeCi Agritech test site -Beijing Sunnong Cuihu Smart Agriculture Demonstration Farm in Beijing. At the site, the delegation observed DeCi’s AI-enabled greenhouse operations in action, where advanced control algorithms are integrated with locally available greenhouse infrastructure. The system has achieved performance levels approaching international standards in climate control, crop consistency, and production efficiency.

DeCi AgriTech B.V. will continue to bridge Dutch agricultural science and global market needs by expanding the application of AI-driven growing systems across regions and crops. The company looks forward to collaborating with partners from both the Netherlands and China to build a more efficient, resilient, and sustainable future for greenhouse horticulture.

2025 Beijing Cuihu Farm Pilot Project

400m² pilot test to develop MVP at Beijing Cuihu Farm

DeCi Agritech and the Beijing Cuihu Farm, part of the state-owned Sunlon Group, are launching a 2025 pilot project to develop agricultural MVPs in three 400 m² greenhouses. Located in Haidian District, Cuihu Farm spans 981 mu with advanced greenhouse facilities, farmland, and strong research infrastructure.

The pilot will focus on:

  • Developing and validating AI-based cultivation models in controlled environments.
  • Collaborating with Cuihu’s professional team to ensure efficient testing and operations.
  • Upgrading greenhouse hardware with support from government and industry partners.

Partners include DeCi Agritech (model and product development), the Beijing government and Shouchuang Jin Nong (hardware upgrades), and Cuihu Farm (testing site and operations).

The pilot timeline runs from preparation in mid-2025 (company setup, hardware upgrades, test design), through testing in autumn (planting, data collection, model creation), to optimization through early 2026 (crop analysis and model refinement). Initial crops will likely include Cuihu’s branded tomatoes.

By driving this pilot, DeCi Agritech positions itself at the forefront of smart agriculture, accelerating the application of AI and digital technologies to greenhouse farming.
